Top-calibre and innovative: CholodSummit Rossija
- Focus on innovative refrigeration in the food industry
- Energy efficiency as key topic
- Top-calibre congress programme
- Extensive support from ministries, associations and institutes
The CholodSummit Rossija takes place in the Swissotel Krasnye Holmy in Moscow on 16–17 February 2010. “Innovative refrigeration in the foodstuff chain” is the core topic of the summit with accompanying foyer expo. Refrigeration applications play an important role in food processing, storage and distribution. Ten of the most important international companies from the refrigeration industry present their products and services at the foyer expo accompanying the summit.
By organizing the CholodSummit Rossija in Moscow, the NürnbergMesse Group takes up a special issue of great importance for the Russian refrigeration industry. Russia has imported a large share of its food from abroad until now, but local production is to be stepped up appreciably in future. Innovative refrigeration equipment is required for the processing, storage and distribution of this food, which the Russian government wants to promote through suitable state support programmes. The ministries, associations and institutes in Russia are therefore very interested and have already confirmed their participation. They include Rossojuscholodprom – the Russian Union of the Refrigeration Industry Enterprises, the International Academy of Refrigeration – IAR, the Scientific Institution All-Union Research Refrigerating Institute, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the Federal Agency for Fisheries of the Russian Federation, and the State Duma Committee on Agricultural Questions.
“I am delighted with the great interest shown by the ministries, associations and institutes, which shows that our concept for this top-calibre summit is successful,” says Meike Krüger, Event Manager of the CholodSummit at NürnbergMesse. The CholodSummit Rossija with its clearly orientated programme features is primarily intended for conference participants from the food manufacturing, processing and transport industry, the food trade, facility management, manufacturers and suppliers of refrigeration equipment, refrigeration contractors, consultant engineers and planners. The summit spans a wide range, but still focuses on topics. “The structure of the participants also confirms the importance of the summit: supermarket operators, meat processing industrialists, refrigeration equipment manufacturers, cold storage manufacturers, refrigeration plant assemblers and engineers have registered for the CholodSummit, i.e. exactly our planned target group. The over 100 participants expected can look forward to two compact and first-class days at the summit,” says Krüger.
The summit focuses on topical issues like “Energy efficiency and environmental protection”, “Innovative solutions in the foodstuff chain: Refrigeration applications for production, storage, transport and distribution”, “Heat pumps: Use of industrial waste heat” or “Legal, financial and administrative conditions for the development of the refrigeration industry in Russia”.
The experts can listen to interesting lectures such as “Efficiency and safety of refrigeration equipment for the food industry”, “Eco-efficient system of centralized refrigeration supply for retail enterprises with the new Bitzer refrigeration compressors”, “Cost savings during the project planning of industrial refrigeration equipment with piston compressor Grasso V with minimal entrainment of oil”, “Energy efficiency in supermarkets on the basis of modern refrigeration technology and automation” or “Continuous cold chain – Resource-based strategy to ensure food quality”, to mention only a few. The complete programme is available online at: www.cholodexpo.com/en/conference/programme
The CholodSummit opens with the keynote speech, for which two noted experts have been obtained: Igor Martynovich Kalnin, Head of the Refrigeration and Cryogenic Engineering Department of the Moscow State University of Environmental Engineering, who also chairs the summit, and Alexander V. Baranenko, President of the International Academy of Refrigeration (IAR). Both associations support the CholodSummit Rossija.
Small but smart – the foyer expo
Small but smart is the motto of the foyer expo, at which participants at the CholodSummit can meet ten top international companies from the refrigeration industry and source comprehensive information about innovative refrigeration in the food industry. The companies are: Bitzer Kühlmaschinenbau GmbH (Russia), Bock Kältemaschinen GmbH (Germany), Dresdner Kühlanlagenbau GmbH (Germany), GEA Grasso Refrigeration (Russia), Mashimpeks Ltd. (Russia), TEKO Gesellschaft für Kältetechnik mbH (Germany), Eliwell Control srl (Italy), Kriotek (Russia), Officine Mario Dorin (Italy) and Güntner AG & Co. KG (Germany).
Outlook for 2011: Chillventa in Moscow too
Chillventa goes to Russia, or more precisely to Moscow. Chillventa Rossija, the International Trade Fair for Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps, takes place in the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center, Moscow, from 1–3 March 2011. It is based on the extremely successful concept of Chillventa in Nürnberg, which advanced from a standing start to become the world-leading exhibition in 2008. “I am sure that Chillventa Rossija 2011 will be a great success in the Russian market just like Chillventa in Nürnberg. I’m already looking forward to Chillventa’s new Russian daughter,” says Gabriele Hannwacker, Exhibition Director of Chillventa at NürnbergMesse.
